    Mix the marinade

    In a large dish or shallow bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, lemon juice, honey, and minced garlic.

    Marinate the steak

    Add the flank steak and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate for 6 to 8 hours, or overnight if that's easier.

    Fire up the grill

    Drain and discard the marinade. Preheat your grill (gas or charcoal) to medium heat.

    Grill it

    Grill the steak 8 to 10 minutes per side, until it hits your desired doneness — 135°F for medium-rare, 140°F for medium, 145°F for medium-well.

    Let the steak rest at least 5 minutes, then slice it thin against the grain so it stays tender.
