    Whisk it all together

    In a small saucepan, whisk together the milk, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, a dash of black pepper, and the honey.

    Bring to a boil, then drop it to a simmer. Let it cook for about 10 minutes, stirring a few times so the spices don't clump, until it's fragrant and the color is even all the way through.
