Build the glass
Fill a large wine glass about halfway with ice. Big glass, lots of ice — this is what keeps the bubbles happy and the drink cold.

Pour in the Aperol
Add 2 oz of Aperol over the ice. You want that signature sunset-orange color showing through the glass.

Top with Prosecco and soda
Slowly stream in 3 oz of chilled Prosecco, then finish with 1 oz of soda water. Pour gently — the drink mixes itself, but you can give it one slow stir with a bar spoon if you want.

Notes & Tips
The ratio that matters: 3-2-1. Three parts Prosecco, two parts Aperol, one part soda. Memorize that and you can build this in any size glass with any size pour. A few tips that make a real difference: use Brut (dry) Prosecco — sweet Prosecco turns this into a sugar bomb. Big wine glass, not a small one — the volume of ice and the wide opening are part of the drink. And club soda is slightly better than plain seltzer if you can grab it; that tiny bit of salt sharpens everything up.
Mocktail swap: sub the Aperol for 2 oz of fresh orange juice plus a small splash of grapefruit bitters (or a non-alcoholic aperitivo like Lyre's Italian Spritz), and use a dry sparkling alternative like Töst or sparkling white grape juice in place of the Prosecco. Same 3-2-1 ratio, same vibe, no buzz.
