Build over ice
Fill a rocks glass about three-quarters with ice. Go a little easy here so it doesn't water down too fast. Pour in the vodka and coffee liqueur.

Slowly pour the heavy cream over the back of a spoon so it settles on top in a pretty layer. Stir it in right before you drink, or leave it swirled for the photo op.

The Dude's drink, and honestly a perfect no-fuss weekend sipper. The ratio that works: 2 parts vodka, 1 part coffee liqueur, 1 part cream. Want it lighter? Swap the heavy cream for half-and-half or whole milk. Mocktail swap: skip the vodka and liqueur, use 2 oz cold brew concentrate plus 1 oz coffee or vanilla syrup, then float the cream the same way — all the cozy, none of the buzz.
