Brown the beef
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, then drain. Add the stewed tomatoes, chopped onion, garlic powder, chili powder, salt and pepper. Simmer uncovered for 20 minutes so the sauce thickens.

Layer the pie
Arrange 5 tortillas in the bottom of a greased 13x9-inch baking dish, tearing them as needed to cover the surface. Spoon over half the meat mixture, then half the cheese. Repeat with the remaining tortillas, meat mixture and cheese. Scatter the drained sliced olives over the top.

Bake
Bake at 350°F until heated through and bubbly, about 30 minutes. Let stand a few minutes before slicing into squares.

- 1 1/2 lb ground beef
- 29 oz stewed tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 10 flour tortillas
- 3 cup shredded cheddar Monterey Jack cheese
- 2 1/4 oz black olives
